G'Day
I have found surface rust under the fuel tank where it mounts to the frame, I just went to my dealer and he rang yamaha who said to remove the fuel sender and see if there is any rust in there as it may be moisture in the fuel causing it.
Now forgive my ignorance how could moisture in the fuel cause rust on the underside (outside) of the tank?
Basically it is yamaha trying to get out of fixing the problem!

Also after i wash the bike i dry it and go for a ride to blow or shake any water that i can't get to off the bike.

Now i have that out of my system, my question is has anyone else had this problem?

This is in Australia so we don't have problems with salt on the roads or anything like that.

Thanks

Michael
