I have no problem with killing animals for food, but I abhor cruelty. This film was sickening and sad. However, I'm not sure that this forum is the right place for it, Theo.

The sub-forum title is Jokes and Funny Videos.

you are right but who said that a bike oriented and open mind forum is only for bike things and news like that are not allowed ??

I do know that this sub forum isnt for that topic ( i made the subforums mate) but posted it here as i wanted to mess you up a little bit !! Smile

Anyway my opinion remains the same as the first one.

Eveyone should watch or hear those "sad" news. Everyone and everywhere !!

In bike , car, social, economic, political , even in haute couture forums.

Behind all these lines and texts is HUMAN.

We should get info from everywhere . . . including our little society.

Afteral i wrote a few words about the content of the video.

cheers

This is a wide-ranging forum, right enough. I didn't say it was "not allowed". My objection was to your putting that link into a forum marked "Jokes and Funny Videos", where anyone (inluding children) could click on it, expecting something humorous, and instead see a video of sickening cruelty. It turned my stomach, for sure, and I'm not easily upset. I'm old enough to hold my own opinions, and I don't need "messing up" as you put it. I didn't need to see it, I didn't want to see it, and I'm unhappy that I have seen it. Thank you for that.

thats exactly the point. You never wanted to watch it. Why ??
Or if you dont that means that this doesnt happen??

1) Putting it to the jokes section makes more people curious of its content.

2) My english isnt like my greek so propably didnt use the right expression (regarding the "messing up"). I think you understand what i wanted to say . . .

3) I wrote . . ."not safe for kids" as i also wrote a prologue about what you are about to watch.

4) I have a question for all the non-greeks forumers.

Is this true??? You leave your kids alone in front of a screen and an internet connection ????

I'm not saying anything , just wondering . . .

Finally it isnt my obsession to make you feel sick but sometimes its necessary !!

Sorry for upseting you m8.

cheers
Theo

Because I have seen lots of stuff like that before, I know it goes on, I don't like it, but when I sit down of an evening to have a quiet read of this forum, I'd rather not be reminded of all that. There's a time and a place, and for me this is not it.

Or if you dont that means that this doesnt happen??

Don't be silly.

1) Putting it to the jokes section makes more people curious of its content.

But it also gives people a nasty shock when they see what it really is. Perhaps that is what you intended, but I don't spend my spare time upsetting people for a "cause" I happen to believe in. I leave that for groups that are related to the subject.

2) My english isnt like my greek so propably didnt use the right expression (regarding the "messing up"). I think you understand what i wanted to say . . .

Yes, I did, which is why I wasn't far more aggressive in my response.

3) I wrote . . ."not safe for kids" as i also wrote a prologue about what you are about to watch.

Fair enough, you did that. To be honest, given the title of the sub-forum, I thought you were joking, and it was a funny video.

4) I have a question for all the non-greeks forumers.

Is this true??? You leave your kids alone in front of a screen and an internet connection ????

Not at all - my kids are grown up and gone away. But if you think kids only see stuff on the internet when parents happen to leave a web page open, you live in a different world from me.

Finally it isnt my obsession to make you feel sick but sometimes its necessary !!

Define "necessary".

Sorry for upseting you m8.

No worries - I'm sure we need not fall out over it. I share your horror over the activity, but I disagree with the way you have tried to promote it to the group. I've made my point, now I'll shut up.

All the best

Richard

...definitely not for the Jokes and Funny index. Points such as these can be made more subtley.
