there are 2 ways to that:

X AND R rear brake is exactly the same!!
X and R hubs are exactly the same!!!

1) KEEPING EVERYTHING THE SAME EXCEPT THE WHEELS

You have to buy
a) new rims. That could be EXCEL or MORAD or anything else depending on the money you want to spend
b) new sprockets for 17'' wheels

You keep the same hubs...........as you dont want to buy new one (Yamahas XT hubs cost almost 450 and Talons ones ......god knows .....never asked)
that means that your enduro wheels are now useless except from the rims.

Be careful in what sprockets you will buy. Choose stainless reinforced.

You keep the brakes and all the rest the same.

Optional you can buy the front forks stabilisateur, that the x has and bend it somehow to fit inside your forks.
There is no need to buy the X forks.

My suggestion is that you put a high pressure hose for your front brakes.....Some rumors say that the R stops better than the X with stainless front hose.

TOTAL COST ALMOST 500 - ΤΥRES NOT INCLUDED

2)CHANGING EVERYTHING

A) rims and sprockets (same as 1.a and 1.b)
B) brakes. If you wanna fit the X braking system this will cost you :
caliper: 200...............nissin 4p
hose : 50
pads : 35..............lucas
disc :180...........prefer wavy braking or

In that case you have also to buy the X forks.............
that leads u to buy the Xs or aftermarket front springs + fork oils+ sealings.................COST 350

Mudguards, fenders, stickers and all that ...........dont know their prices but who cares???

3) While searching some months ago for doing the same thing found out that Aprilia has made a good deal with Marchesini wheels and sells the wheels that Pegaso Strada has on for.........................300.......ALL SET!!!!

that means that you wont destroy your enduro wheels , you wont need ant rims or sprockets.
the wheels are great and if your bike is blue ............THEY ARE MADE FOR IT!!!
